I set goals and achieved them, starting out small and then challenging myself more over time. Completing the 10km Bridge to Brisbane 5 months after chemotherapy was one of my proudest achievements. Exercise helped me to regain physical strength and overcome depression and anxiety. The program gave me the confidence to face life again after cancer. Julie Allen is supportive and caring, with an intricate knowledge of human anatomy. Weekly sessions with the group provided me with friendship, motivation and fun in a safe and warm environment. We basically just shared life together – attending was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
